Mariposa
This unique material comes from Niarit, Mexico. It was formed in the same fashion as a thunder egg, except that it has some of the most striking colors and patterns in the jasper world. Some of the nodules are even opalized! This material produces some of the finest specimen pieces and cabochons I have ever seen. The rough is $10.00/pound.
